OUR MISSION
The mission statement of the Elwood Police Department is a written declaration of purpose, a road map that delineates how any agency will arrive at a desired destination and a contract with the community.
The purpose of the mission statement is to help police employees focus on the same goals and determine how to accomplish their purpose. It also focuses a police department's energies and resources.
The mission statement is as follows:
The Mission of the Elwood Police Department, in cooperation with our community, is to protect life and property, and enhance the quality of life for all of our citizens.
The Elwood Police
Department is committed to providing professional law enforcement to the
community. All of the officers are well-trained, and dedicated to being
the best law enforcement agency they can be for the citizens they serve.
Several citizens have approached the Police Department regarding solicitations
either in the mail or by telephone requesting donations for the Police
Departments. The Elwood Police Department has never solicited funds by mail or
telephone. If you should receive this type of mail or telephone call, please
notify the Elwood Police Department. These solicitors do not represent the
Police Department. You may reach Chief Dave Albert at (815) 423-5411. |
