A lot of auto traffic from warehouse workers comes down the side streets of Elwood, especially at shift change and break times. Move the stop signs at Jackson and W. Gardner, and Jackson and W. Spencer streets, from N-S facing to E-W facing. Putting an additional stop in these streets should help slow down the drag race to the warehouses, and possibly deter some cars from even turning down the side streets as a shortcut. If possible, put in a few speed bumps, too. In my opinion, having increased auto traffic on our quiet side streets is akin to the increased truck traffic around the area. Eventually a child is going to be injured or killed.

The community has a leak somewhere and is causing my sump pump to run all the time. Sometimes I am pumping 600 gallons an hour. This is not just ground water. I've written before and something was done to alleviate the problem but it's back again. This has been going on for years. Will you please fix the problem?
